DR.C.M.MADAN
(1941 – 2004)
Dr. Chandar Mohan Madan, the founder President of the Hurt Foundation, is no more with us. Dr. Madan left for his heavenly abode on April 1, 2004.
Dr. Madan was an author, a journalist, a lawyer, visiting professor of law in different universities and a Human Rights activist who strived for a society where there would be ‘justice for all’ – a happy world where Human Rights would be valued and practiced – a world where the minds were without fear and the head held high. The HURT FOUNDATION is the result of his dream of achieving such a world.
Despite various difficulties and roadblocks, the progress of the HURT FOUNDATION is because of Dr. Madan’s firm resolve and his refusal to accept the word “impossible”.
The members and the staff of the HURT FOUNDATION have pledged to leave no stone unturned in realising his dream of a just and humane society.
We call out to you
To stop, awhile.
Entreating you to hark our plight
Lost in the slime and sludge,
Unhinged we lurch
Know us, we are in pangs
Bleeding and ‘HURT’.
